Our dance faculty is made up of experienced and educated instructors who are carefully selected & trained for their expertise and ability to contribute as caring educators to give all students a well-rounded education in all our dance programs.

AMY SIMKINS- owner/director
Amy Simkins began dancing in St. George, Utah. She trained at Ballet Arts of Southern Utah, and in High School was a member of Pine View High School’s Drill Team.  She was awarded the Regional Sterling Scholar in Dance, which enabled her to go to the University of Utah and further her education where she graduated in sociology and studied child development, education, and dance. In Salt Lake she has been a dancer in Hale Center Theatre’s Production of the King and I, danced with local performing groups, trained with Bonnie Story and Tamara Squires, been a part of the ballet and modern programs at the University of Utah, and has participated in many workshops. She has had the opportunity to take classes in NYC, LA and has worked with many well renowned choreographers: Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, Doug Caldwell, Joe Tremaine, Vincent Patterson (choreographer for Michael Jackson). She also performed as a backup dancer for Wierd Al.  Amy began her teaching career in Salt Lake City, and has had experience teaching ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical in several dance studios; and has also taught adademic preschool for several years. She has interned with Ballet West Conservatory’s “I CAN DO” program. She has done first place choreography for High Schools, dance studios, Two Little Hands Productions, and the list goes on. 
She loves dancing and wants to continue teaching for the rest of her life!
