This is a brief overview of the policies in the Expressions Dance Handbook. You will be given a copy of the handbook at your first week of class.
Print the Release Form HERE. (Due at your first class.)
Classroom Observation: During the last week of each month parents may observe the last ten minutes of class. Teachers will open up their door and invite anyone there to come in and watch. This is the chance for you to see firsthand what the classroom experience is like for your child. Please do not bring infants or other children to the in-class observation week. Never disrupt class. During the in-class observation week (or at any time if the door to the classroom is open), please refrain from shouting instructions or distracting your child in any way. Other than this designated observation time, please wait outside the classroom while dance class is in session to preserve quality of instruction and minimize distractions to your child and/or others. Guests who wish to view a class outside of the parent observation week must make special arrangements through the school director.
Newsletters: Monthly Newsletters and important updates are emailed to all addresses on file. The same newsletters and updates are emailed to you and posted on the website and Facebook page. We work hard to make the dance experience organized and fun. Keeping you informed is one of our primary goals. Please read all newsletters and other school information.
Arrival and Departure: We encourage students to arrive 5 minutes before class starts. For their safety, children should be picked up immediately after class. We charge a $5 fee for every 5 min after class had ended when you are late picking up your child. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL. We all have other commitments we are late for when you are late.
Parking Lot Safety: The school is home to children of all ages. Please enter and exit our parking lot with extreme caution. Never park your vehicle in any area that is not a designated parking space. Please do not allow siblings to play in the parking lot.
Makeup Classes: Students who miss a class will have the opportunity to make it up with another similar class. Please check with the office to determine the best makeup class for your child. This class must be made up with in the one month of the class missed.
DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS
Expressions Dance maintains a dress code to encourage concentration and a sense of inclusiveness (variations in attire can be distracting and contribute to feelings of inequality). Uniformity in dancewear allows the teachers to assess how well the students are implementing the technique being taught, problems with alignment, and other important aspects of dance training.
Studio Store: Expressions Dance offers dancewear and shoes for purchase. Visit the office to get fitted for leotards, tights, ballet shoes, biker shorts, jazz shoes, dance bags, studio t-shirts, and more!
TUITION, EXPENSES AND OTHER POLICIES
Monthly tuition does not include the annual registration fee, dancewear, shoes, costumes, recital tickets, or special events.
Registration Fee: An annual registration fee of $30 per person or $50 per family covers the cost of mailings, insurance, handbooks, rehearsals, and so on. Registration fees are not refundable with the exception of preschool students who are determined to be unready for dance and may receive a credit for the following season.

Tuition will be charged directly to your specified VISA, MasterCard or Discover. We will accept cash, check, or money orders for tuition payment if received by the 1st of the month.

* We reserve the right to cancel classes or adjust the schedule at any time due to lack of enrollment.*
ANNUAL PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

All performers will pay a $25 performance fee, due October 5th.
ANNUAL RECITAL: Recital offers our students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present to their families and friends the results of a year’s hard work, dedication, and progress. A big part of dance training includes learning through performance.
Performance Package: For recital we have created an all-inclusive package that takes care of everything for you, providing the best experience possible. We feel that this eliminates surprise expenses and makes for a much more enjoyable recital experience.
