Absence Notification Form- for dancers on Performance Teams
Please fill out this quick form to excuse your company dancer's absence. Thank you for notifying us!
*Absences need to be excused in advance! If you’re filling it out for a performance absence, please also email the company director at company@dancetoexpress.com. We need at least TWO weeks before the performance so that we have time to make adjustments in classes as needed.
Dancers who are absent the week of performances or competitions will not be allowed to perform unless prior approval has been given from the Director. You may be spaced out or be required to schedule for a makeup lesson with the teacher.
Company Attendance Policy
Company dancers are expected to have at least 90% attendance at all classes and rehearsals
If a performing company dancer is below 75% attendance, they will be removed from performances until their attendance returns to over 75%.
If a collective company dancer is below 75%, they will be replaced by an alternate or spaced out of all routines until their attendance returns to over 75%.
Your attendance percentage factors in all absences, including excused absences. The attendance policy is set to help you to plan, be responsible for managing your time wisely, and to be a dependable member of your company. The policy holds everyone to the same commitment level that is expected of you by the studio and the other families on your team.
With the added emphasis on attendance, we have made the attendance feature visible in your parent portal so you can also check your account regularly to make sure your child’s attendance tracking is accurate.
